From the desk of Sabrina ,

Thanks to all of you for the calls and cards regarding my recent accident.  My lung was bruised, collar bone and ribs were fractured when I was bucked off of a young horse at my house.  A week later I had to have surgery for plates and screws to repair my collar bone.  I am in recovery this week at the National Little Britches Finals in Pueblo, CO.  Sorry the updates have been delayed but we should be getting back on track and I will be back in the saddle soon!!

SHANNON HAMILTON
Passed away July 5, 2010. Services were held July July 9 at 10am at Cedar Glades Baptist Church at Mountain Pine, AR. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Shannon's family, he fought a long hard battle.

BOARD MEMBERS QUALIFICATIONS
You must be 18 years of age by October 1, 2009 and a member in good standing to be nominated for a board position. Only two board positions at any given time may be filled by an out-of-state resident. You are not allowed to miss more than 3 meetings in a 12-month period.

Board members are expected to know the ACA rulebook thoroughly and are to strictly abide by rules therein and set an example for the general membership. While attending a rodeo, they may be called upon to make recommendations to rodeo committees, producers, judges or contestants concerning a problem or question. A director is to be a spokesperson for his/her event as a whole, and is to uphold the rules of the rulebook and advise according to the rules therein. Under no circumstances will a board member be able to override a judge's decision. Board members are to secure sponsorship for their event and for the overall production of the finals.
